Refund policy

At Retrocollectix, we handle authenticated, rare vintage items. To protect the integrity of our collection and ensure transparency, our Return & Refund Policy strictly strictly adheres to European Union Consumer Protection Law while maintaining rigorous condition standards.

1. RETURN WINDOW & ELIGIBILITY
You have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return under EU Right of Withdrawal regulations.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be returned in the EXACT condition it was dispatched:
• Eyewear, Watches & Apparel: Unworn, unadjusted, unaltered, with all original tags/security seals intact.
• Writing Instruments: Un-inked, unused, and with original original packaging/documentation.
• Lighters: Un-fueled, un-struck, and unused since delivery.
• Fragrances & Personal Care (e.g., Razors): Sealed in original packaging. Opened, unsealed, or used fragrances and personal care items CANNOT be returned due to health and hygiene standards.
• Security Seals: Items shipped with tamper-evident security tags or serial seals must have these intact. Removal or tampering invalidates return eligibility.

2. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN
To start a return, contact us at retrocollectix@gmail.com with your Order Number and proof of purchase.

If your return is approved:
• You will receive our designated return facility address in Athens, Greece.
• Items sent back without prior return approval will be rejected.

3. RETURN SHIPPING COSTS & RESPONSIBILITY
• The buyer is responsible for paying all return shipping costs, duties, and customs fees (unless the return is due to our error or a proven seller misrepresentation).
• Return shipments MUST be sent via a trackable, registered mail or express courier service with full insurance.
• Retrocollectix is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged during return transit.

4. DAMAGES & TRANSIT ISSUES
Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. 
If an item arrives damaged in transit or differs significantly from the listing, you MUST contact us at retrocollectix@gmail.com within 48 hours of carrier delivery. 
• Clear photographic and video evidence of both the outer packaging and the damaged item is required to process any transit claim.

5. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
We cannot accept returns on:
• Opened, unsealed vintage fragrances, cosmetics, or personal care goods.
• Items returned with removed/tampered security tags or signs of post-delivery wear/use.
• Gift cards and sale items marked as Final Sale.

6. REFUNDS
Once we receive and complete a forensic condition inspection of your returned item (typically within 3–5 business days of receipt):
• We will notify you regarding approval or rejection of your refund based on condition compliance.
• If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
